International affiliate checks?

Hi guys I'm an international affiliate who will get my first check for around $300 by the end of this month. As you can guess I'm really excited about this! I had a few questions for those international affiliates who get checks every month. I live in Asia if that's needed.

    1) How long will it take Amazon to send me the check from the end of the month?

    2) How will the check arrive? Is it international express or something? What couriers do they use, DHL, FEDEX? Can I track my check online? Do I have to sign something?

    3) How long will it take the bank to cash my $300 check? What processes are involved?

Please answer as detailed as possible because I'm really excited about this!

    1. It should take 15 to 20 days depending on where you live. I'm from India and receive mine in 15 days.

    2. Checks are sent by US ordinary mail. They don't have tracking number. Just keep checking your postbox for your Amazon check!

    3. It should take another 20 to 30 days for your bank to verify and deposit international checks. Contact your bank and get special forms to clear such checks.

Remember to take all photocopies before depositing in bank. Here's sample check sent by Amazon. You'll receive similar check.

What do you mean by this? Can I just go to the bank and give the check to them? What information do I have to fill in the form?

I'm from India and have fill up FEMA forms issued by Reserve Bank of India. It's one page form for depositing foreign currency checks. I have to accept international banking laws like
    - the transaction is 100% legal
    - if the check bounces and get returned then I'll responsible for the bank charges, etc.

Also if the check is few thousand dollars will it take a longer time to clear? How much was the biggest check you cashed in 20 to 30 days?

    Thanks for answering

Checks take the same amount of time regardless of amount, it just differs from bank to bank

My biggest check was some $700 from Amazon US. All checks take the same time to clear.
