Hi there, I have a query related to internal page of a site. I was promoting a particular page of my site for a specific category of services. Before 2 months it gained good rankings almost on 1st page for most of the keywords. Now the situation is so, that the page shows up nowhere in the results of any keywords. It is regularly indexed and cached. Its number of backlinks are 1,284 as per Yahoo Site Explorer. Please let me know what would be the reason of the page dissapearing from the SERPs for all its tragetted keywords. Its really urgent, Any expert advise is most welcome. Thanks in advance.
You mention you were promoting the page: Where you building a lot of links to that page? You could have tripped a filter, or if you were buying those links, been penalised for buying links.
Yahoo siteexplorer show nofollow backlinks too. I assume you are talking about your ranking in google search engine. Only dofollow backlinks will help your site ranking higher in google, not nofollow backlinks. So, try to build some quality anchored keyword backlinks to your site. And, I'm sure you can see your site rank better.
hey Thanks to all for replying. But particularly talking about the Google back-links the particular inner pager which i am talking about has 0 google backlinks. So what must b the reason...also specifying that i have done enough promotion of that page.
If you are relying to your site site because as you promoting the site and it was happened that top 1 from ranking and you targeted the keywords also are on top, please suggest yourself that maybe your site has penalized by some. Or do not neglect your site because anytime there is always a possibility to decrease your site if you neglect it. Keep trying to promote again..
