internal links with keywords

    I would recommend the second option. It is always a good rule of thumb to place a file near to the parent level.

    ideally the anchor text of your internal links should have the same keywords as are found in the title tag of the destination page. this keeps things relevant

    let's say you have a site about fruits and vegetables.
    on your homepage you want a link within anchor about "apples" to lead to a page that has a title with " apples" in its title and throughout the page. ideally that page also links to other pages that are related to "Apples"
