Internal linking

can any one tell me what is the advantages of internal linking in a website? How it helps the pages or the websites increase the ranking? If I do not interlink the pages then what will happen? Shall I not get the good ranking?

 

If you don't link to your own pages, who else will? Google can't index a page with no internal or external links, and can't rank a page that isn't indexed.

 

It makes the website look more natural. You want to have the website be navigable from a human perspective and that requires internal linking.

 

What matters here is can your pages be crawled.

This is why sitemaps are important.

Internal linking can effect the importance of pages within your site to some degree, but it's typically not worth worrying about.

There is so much information on the Web now that Crawlers will not always crawl your entire site. So use a site map that is readily accessible to the crawlers so they can find your information easily.

Just use the hyperlinks ( <a> ) to link your webpages. Linking internal pages together will result in better indexing.
