Hi guys I'm looking for an advise regarding to internal linking. Let's say I have a page called "product photography", and within the page I make a link to my home page. This is internal link right? What's the point of that if I already have a link called "Home" on the top menu bar that links to my home page? Isn't this 2 links in 1 page and it's redundant?
no its nt redundant..Luk at WIKIPEDIA n then see internal linking is a very gud factor to get ur site gud rank.
If your home page contain something different and it your are linking in taking in to account the suitability of the words or phrase on another page - it is proper internal linking. If you want to see how it work you can visit my blog - www.freebesthealth.com, wherein i have used the method of internal linking almost on all pages .
Internal linking means linking on keywords. So, the link which you give on any keyword will be the part of on page SEO(internal linking). Don't worry about redundancy, as Google has no issue with this.
