Hello, I am sure this question has been asked-to-death but as I am reading this with JAWS it is a lot easier for me to post a question than listen to hundreds of previously asked ones. I hope nobody minds. On internal linking: Say I have an article I want to link to - should each link say <Article Name>Article or just the name of the article being linked to? Title Tage: Should the Title Tag be exactly the same as the link pointing to it? Should I repeat the Index Page Title on each internal Page such as "| Domain.com"? Or "| Index Page Title? Many thanks everyone. I hope you are all having a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!
Well if your website got brand suppose you are Mobile company and you have article about memory then you would want ABC Mobiles in every <title> tag either at first or last seperated by | and it is good have anchor text which is 80% relevant. If you got article about your new GPS system in mobile and you want to link that it would be good <a href=http://www.abcmobile.com/gps-frequency-analytic.ht>GPS Frequency Analytic Process</a> It is important to have anchor-text and link-text to be 80% same so SE would make sense that it is really something about GPS Frequency.
Try to use keyword rich anchor text for internal linking. Infact many blogs use 'more' tag on wordpress and their theme doesn't provide a good anchor text.
Here is what I do...I use anchor text for internal linking. For an example, if I am referring back to "general lee" on multiple pages, I would use different anchor text to mix it up: "General Lee", "General Robert Lee", "Confederate General Robert E. Lee". For the title tag, I always mix it up as well - I try not to have duplicate title tags.
