In the process of doing SEO for a website that wants to rank images and galleries in Google Images. Allow me to draw a picture in mind. I have a website that hosts galleries hat are organized in the following fashion:

    Home
    |
    |------------------------------------------------------------|
    Model--------------------------------------------------------Model
    |-------------------|-------------------------------------- | ----------------------- |
    Gallery-------------- Gallery------------------------------Gallery-------------------Gallery

And for the sake of post width, I've broken down the galleries below. Each image within a gallery links to a page dedicated to that individual image.

    Gallery
    |
    |-----|-----|-----|-----|-----|-----|-----|
img img img img img img img img

I then link each of those image pages to a relative page about the model in the photo. This page is optimized for conversions and suggests the visitor to proceed to the external pay site if they wish to see more. Research has shown me that this is called a buffer page. It combines all the links of relative image pages from every gallery associated with a particular model and funnels that traffic to a single external link.

    Gallery
    |
    |-----|-----|-----|-----|-----|-----|-----|
img img img img img img img img
    |-----|-----|-----|-----|-----|-----|-----|
    |
    Buffer Page
    |
    Pay Site

Is this a good internal linking strategy? I'm wondering if this will also help the pages higher in the hierarchy.
