Does it makes and diference in terms of SEO if I use absolute (www.example.com/page1.html) or relative path (page1.html) for my internal links ? The links caunt in both whays? I am asking this because I have a new website with about 400 indexed pages and Google shows 143 back links, but only 2-3 internal links are there.
I've *heard* that relative links aren't always read correctly by the bots, although I don't understand why. better to be safe and use absolute URLs.
Bot's see no difference, but I've in menu www.example.com/page1.html, in other places relative path page1.html
I agree, I have sites that use relative links and are well-indexed. But, it's not hard to use absolute links (especially if you use server-side scripting) and there are other benefits such as discouraging (a little bit) site-stealing.
