I have a wordpress mu blog and here is my structure...

    Main Blog
    ---Sub Blog's (4 of them)
--------Sub Blog Categories (Each Sub Blog has over 5 Categories)
    -------------------Sub Blog Post
    -------------------Sub Blog Post
    -------------------Sub Blog Post

I have over 4 sub blogs and here is what I am thinking about doing as far as internal link structure.

Taking each post and linking to my:
    1. Sub Blog Category
    2. Sub Blog
    3. Main Blog

Will I get the maximum SEO benefit from this structure?

    Wouldn't that be extremely redundant?

when you say SUB blogs, do you mean real sub domains ? or categories, i don't see anything unique about this setting, that's the way most blogs are set, to get the SEO benefits you are looking for, you need quality and appealing content, no matter how is your blog set, if you have quality content, you will get the links.

When I say sub blogs I am talking about: http://blahblah.com/funkymario/

Funkymario would be its own wordpress blog.....

I have quality content... and I am not worried about links coming in from other sites... I am trying to figure out the best way to structure my internal links....

interesting, with this setting your website would appear like a free blog host, blogger, wordpress.., i don't know if you intend to link to those blogs from your homepage or not, i still don't see anything really wrong, or unique about this setting. but if it was my project i would register 4 separate domains, at least if one of them get slapped by google for any reason, the other 3 will not be affected.

    My Project is pet related......

    Here is my structure:

    Main Blog - Pet Care
    Sub Blogs - Dog Care
    Sub Blogs - Cat Care
    Sub Blogs - Fish Care
    Sub Blogs - Bird Care

Each blog will be linked to by specific external blogs that are related to it.

But I think the best internal link structure would be each sub blog post linking to:

    1. Its own category
    2. Its respected blog
    3. The main pet blog

There will only be 5 sub blogs (until the site grows) I will also be linking from the main blog to the sub blogs through individual post.

Hope that makes sense. I don't really see a need for separate domains...

I can see that all your sub blog are related to one niche.

And, it is always good to interlink your site. Don't give nofollow attribute to it. It will help build up some good SERP ranking too.

I can't see any reason that you shouldn't interlink your categories, main page, and blog posts.

I dont think SERP factor will increase if the internal pages are linked ..
If its a subdomain .. like suddomain.yedayeda.com then linking may get some low SERP advantage ..

What would be the difference? Between mine and the example you have? Besides the format...

Disregard that advice. I laughed out loud when I read it.

Of course interlinking is good for your website. I'm not sure what the poster was talking about
