I created a site 3 months ago...it has been PR 0 till this day...however...my back links have went up and I have noticed a great increase in traffic from google in the last week...I'm talking from 1-2 hits a day to 50+ I think the PR will be updated shortly.

The increased SERP means that your PR has changed (increased) probably. However, this latest PR might not be shown in the upcoming toolbar update..

I don't think that's a good news if it ever happens. We've all been expecting to see updates on our PR and be reflected on the toolbar in the next update.

I think your PR would depends on the number of your quality backlinks but they also have some criteria in giving PR. I also think that content is one of the criteria of google in giving PR.

    Its common knowledge.

Have you a link to prove this? This could only happen if the domain was previously owned and had back links already pointing towards it.

4 weeks for a new site and given a PR6? I doubt it unless Google has a major loop hole in their PageRank.

Please check -- http://www.linksjuice.com -- PR6 directory --check its domain age and everything. I think presently the sub-pages are PR0 --because --Terry -the owner has just re-wrote the URLs few days back. Before all sub-pages were PR5:rolleyes:

Lots of people say lots of things regarding PR--specially SEO articles. One should not believe in any of them --without concrete proof even if they are written by the best. The SEO world is so full of .............
