if you do a search in yahoo for elizabeth ann dettmer, my sisters site of photos of my daughter comes up as the number 1 and 2 results. This is with zero SEO and they have only been up about 2 weeks. she ranks on the second page in google. i wish i had that kinda luck on my sites for speed!

how did you do it? how does google decide what site to put in pr1 ect? HUH? Does google actually decide or does googles spider slaves decide?
it's my sisters site actually, and she just put the pictures up, nothing special. not that elizabeth dettmer, john dettmer or wendy dettmer are searched often (all three rank high in google), but still, it's neat.
It's because the name is fairly unique and cos it's matching on 3 terms. Now you just need to quickly replace it with a landing page with a zillion ads, popunders and popups!!! $$$ Er... or not.
That is true john dettmer is much more common (also, apparently, the name of an MBA player), and the site comes up high in google for that. either way, i think it's neat
