This is really kind of weird, but cool in a way. It's like time traveling.. Okay, well not really.

Women are actually two weeks pregnant before they actually have the sex that gets them pregnant.
This is for calculating in weeks when a baby is born which is what doctors use to tell you your due date... which dates back to your last period.

So, let's say you're planning on getting sex tonight. If the sex you have tonight does lead to pregnancy, you (or your wife) are already two weeks pregnant.

Okay, not actually... but interesting in how doctors date the beginning of the pregnancy to your last period.

That's trippy. I shall keep that in mind when I go to bed tonight with my wife. LOL

I guess it makes sense. When the egg is released is technically when it all started. However I disagree with the term "pregnant" I would prefer to call it, Potentially pregoo. LOLL

It has to do with that whole ovulating issue I think. It's interesting though, I never knew that.

I wonder what will happen if I get my ovaries removed. I wish I was born sterile but the next best thing is to have a tubal litigation. At least I rid myself of any chances of ovarian cancer.

    That sounds ridiculous....
how can it be possible to get pregnant before you actually have sex on that day? If that's true, then let's not have sex that night, will the girl gets pregnant too? If it possible, then we are defying physical laws of time-travel? heehee :D

Like I said, I think it's ovulating. That's around the time the female is most fertile and is more likely to get pregnant than any other time of the month. A woman can release eggs every month but if there's no sperm there's no fetus, thus no such thing as being pregnant.

Dr's go by the 1st day of your missed period and count back 14 days because thats the day you ovulated and became pregnant

Not really, I mean if you don't have the sex that gets you pregnant, then you won't get pregnant. The whole time travel thing was a joke.

But yeah. I get all sort of weird pregnancy facts since I work in the Labor & Delivery Unit at the hospital.
