Interesting new Search Engine

I just came across a new search engine called Wolfram Alfa. Its not exactly new but I found it recently and was very impressed by it.
What makes this search engine different from all others is the fact that it not only searches the internet but has mathematical and scientific computational abilities to give the best search result possible.

How do you guys think it is?

I wouldn't call Wolfram Alpha a search engine, so much as an advanced calculator. I use it a lot to work out calorie counts, but the data it uses isn't always consistent so you have to be careful what you ask it for - calories of cooked or raw foods, for instance.

That's a good list of alternative engines, Anna. But you missed out my favourite: DuckDuckGo.

If you plan to avoid meeting up with a breath analyzer and a ticket, just type in the number of drinks you have had, gender, time, and body weight to find out if the blood alcohol level can catch the ire of a traffic cop..This is the most interesting thing I would ever want to do..

There are hundreds of search engines, but thing is are they as much efficient as much Google is?
If the answer is no, then why should anyone go for them?

wow there's so much innovation when it comes to search engines now a days. google better keep up with this kind of stuff or there's a possibility they could fall behind. wolframalpha's sophistication with math is kind of mind blowing.

Not bad. but most of the people don't know its a search engine. I think they should promote perfectly.
