Okay, I built a new site recently, it's less than 2 weeks old. However, I had held the domain for 2 months before that, and started getting backlinks for it before that. Now, my site is up, and Google has indexed all the different pages on the site. However, in the search results, my website is still being shown : Index/of Apachi server...blah blah blah In essence, nothing actually related to the website shows in the results. Do note though, that I'm ranked #5 for the main keyword, which is a very competitive term with over 40google ads. I just want to know when Google will update their results to show what my site's real Title and Description is. Any thoughts or ideas?
It should not take to long. a week or two. If you are getting hits for the keywords contained on the site, then it means that Google knows what is on your site and it is only a matter of time before the description in the SERPs is updated.. Cheers James
Well, I sure hope so! I'm convinced that once the relevancy of my site was also taken into account (which will happen only after the site is spidered again), my ranking will improve even more.
Yah, that happened to older domain that was sit in server for while... it will only take some days to weeks before the index result change.
