Interesting idea towards Google CSE

I remembered sometime this year google during Earth Hour where every one turned their lights off for one hour made the effort to make the google homepage completely black, by doing this theoretically saving watts because it used more watts to power white pixels rather than black.

So i thought it would be a good idea to make my own search engine that was predominantly black, sadly after some research i found that the idea was unique, their is already a site doing much the same thing.

Well one more site couldn't hurt, also I'm doing one minor part in saving the worlds resources by using less watts and therefore power.

Watt Search - Search and save the watts!

    Thanks alot guys for reading

YOu do know of course that white/pink/purple/black pixels all consume the same amount of power? Its a myth that white consume more.

Best of luck with the search engine.

Its a theory, not a myth it hasnt been fully proven yet, but i do no for certain some moniters do in fact use more watts to power white pixels.

From an engineers point of view.. This is a Myth. Not fact!

I have 8 years expertise in CRT, LCD, DLP, Plamsa displays. Four of the 8 years I was head engineer for "Atomic TV"
