Just stumbled across cool idea of search engine. Website itself not so cool as it's idea. They are calling itself Powebsearch - All the best search engines on one page. Here is a link http://prowebsearch.com/ What I would like to say is that why don't Google use Twitter Search to index it's own results. I mean everyone know that Google is the most spammed search engine (and the most used. doesn't matter ) sometimes we think: "WTF! Why I was looking for a tooth thread and found that god damn p*rn again!" My point is why not use twitter search index for a specific keyword and link juice on this keyword. For example: while searching for term: search engine I found some strange websites like: searchengineshowdown.com and addpro.com WTF? C'mon it's not even an engine. Some stupid comercial things and content farm. But if i'll add a twitter search I'll see twitts for Google, Yahoo, Ask, Bing\MSN, cuil, AltaVista. I have found even alltheweb.com and dogpile.com So as an idea http://www.prowebsearch.com/ is quite cool. It's even cooler since Twitter and Google have an API code. Your thoughts.
This is pretty much stealing/borrowing. They are not producing their own contents nor are they sending out bots to index the internet for our files. All they do is grab and output what other engines have produced. Maybe useful if you're working on a project and need to collect a set of results but other than that, I don't see much of a use.
There is nothing new and exciting about this... You have been able to do this ever since tabbed browsing was invented... Only this way you have to manually enter the search term into two engines...
I'm not saying that prowebsearch is something cool. But the idea of integration Google with Twitter search is pretty much exciting. It should solve the problem of search spam. Just think about a realtime seach integrated with the biggest Internet database. I'm excited. I hope Google will buy Twitter ASAP.
