While reading the Google Adsense help manual, I found some interesting but little-known facts about the adsense program. Read them here - http://labnol.blogspot.com/2005/10/interesting-facts-about-google-adsense.html Google Help pages - www.google.com/adsense/online-help
# Google Adsense customer support doesn't have a telephone number. # If you are not yet 18, you may have a parent or guardian submit an application using their name as the payee name. # AdSense publishers are permitted to click on link unit topics on their web pages, provided that they do not click on any Google ads on the resulting page.
I have a question about this one: # Clicks deemed by Google monitoring system to be invalid will appear in your reports. Is that true? I didn't think invalid clicks showed up at all in the reports.
Note that clicks can be determined to be invalid later as well. And if clicks are declared invalid later, they will be debited from your earnings when the next payment is made. It shows up on the Earnings Details page as "Adjustment - Invalid Clicks". I had one a few months ago to the tune of over $600 due to click fraud. (Yes, I knew it was coming. Long story.)
# AdSense publishers are permitted to click on link unit topics on their web pages, provided that they do not click on any Google ads on the resulting page. Inever knew about this rule since i always thought that you cant click your ads.
It's because with link units you only earn money if the visitor clicks on the ads that appear on the link page. The link itself doesn't earn you any money, so it's safe to click. Although it's best to avoid it as a safety precaution.
Don't click ads, but you can click link units that take you to a search results page with the paid ads on (which you can not click)
