Hi, I want to know more about organic SEO. How it works, what is its usefulness and how I can implement it in my work. I will be highly obliged if some one can provide me knowledge about it. Regards Ivana Williams
If you have been a student of Chemistry , there organic meant , made available by nature or the carbon compounds. The same rule applies here in search engines - Those results which people find in search engines naturally and no body pays for it.remember ! "Ads By Google" in right pane of search results they are non-organic results. Now the question is what keywords are organic ? Well ! Any keyword if you do not have to pay for it and you are ranking in top 10 results of google. To find keywords ie organic keywords you need tools like freekeywords.wordtracker.com/estimate-of-daily-search-volume.html www.google.com/sktool/ Just type any keyword you think will , drive people to your site , and these tools will show you exactly how much traffic that keyword receives daily/monthly.
chinnaammani , in my view for ranking well in google lots of things depend on 1.How your website is organized for Keywords ? Sparse , Dense or Over stuffing. The optimization we do on a webpage is called On Page Optimization. There are many threads here on dp that will get you an idea what it means. 2.How your website is linked from other websites - --Are you getting links from the same subject website on which your website is on ? this is called relevancy in Google. --How much variety of backlinks you are getting.. ---Are the backlinks from good content websites a do follow or no follow ? 3.How often you update your contents ? --Who loves a stale stuff ? An so do is google , keep adding new contents to your website regularly..This makes google happy that you are serious bout your work. ---Submit your website to RSS directories Quick must do for new blogger/websites --Submit site link to directories like dmoz and other but with pr 5+ (do not submit the same site link twice in directory) --Add content regularly and inform others through social bookmarking like digg/reddit etc , twitter , orkut forums , facebook n others.. ---If you can not write bigger articles write smaller articles but greater in number. --Place site map (not to be confused with asp.net sitemap control) in website root directory. --Submit RSS to RSS directories like bloglines and others.. --Write couple of press releases (prlog.com etc..) every week after some posts.
