I have Tomb Raider Underworld (Latest Version) & having latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor.. It displays the message Failed to Initialize direct 3D with current settings.... How I can run this game on this processor?? Elaborate me pls?? wat's missing in my new computer?
I think that you need: - Upgrade your DirectX - Upgrade your Graphic's Drivers Try to somethink of these...
Most ready-made computers have a cheap on board graphics card which can not play the latest games, thats probably the issue you are facing. If you dont have a graphic card manufactured by either nVidia or ATI installed on your computer then it means you lack the required graphic card to play the game, if you do have a good graphic card then try updating your card drivers, or maybe even check if the game is an actual copy or a counterfeit since many pirated games may/may not work.
Lol, somebody forgot to install direct x on their PC. It can run on your rig provided you have a good system, not only the processor.
most of the problems comes from one of this two things: 1- graphic card (i support to be this problem ) 2- ram memory but this isn't a processor problem

The problem is with the graphic card. Which graphic card u are using and which motherboard?? R u using on board graphics?
This is the reason I quit upgrading my computers to play the latest games. For the cost of a good graphics card you can own a 360 or ps3 game console. They have dedicated graphics for playng games. Yes as the others have said, it's your graphics card. I rarely play games any more but when I do I use a game console. Why burn out your nice computer over a game anyway?
Computer games have a level of sophistication that the XBox360 does not have - playing Call of Duty 5 online is a great example of this IMHO. I agree that the cost can be prohibitive and in some cases just plain not worth it, but to the serious gamer, the PC is the way to go. After all, when is the last time you heard of an XBox360 clan?
