Hello! I'm currently designing a website using CS4 Dreamweaver. I am finding it difficult and terribly annoying having to use CSS. So I am now wondering if I should go back to using Flash. However, I have the fear that search engines will skip right through my website. What are the benefits of using either software and could you tell me how to override search engine problems? Thank you! Susie
Hi Suzie, There are disadvantages to using flash. Basically search engines cannot read them as content so they are just an object. That is not to say don't use flash. Flash is commonly used in navigation though as navigation menu holds very little content anyway. If you need to use Flash then just embed it within your css/html website. To be honest, Dreamweaver isn't the best way to build a website anyway. It is visually pleasing seeing what you have created but it doesnt always hold up to what is displayed on page across different browsers and it also puts limits onto what you can do. If you need any help with anything a good friend of mine has just launched a company called Monthly Web. Search pay monthly websites in Google to find them. They are experts in there field and don't charge the earth if you want to get your website moving. I hope this helps
