Now 70,000 Who knows? It might be Toyota Co. themselves! :0 Perhaps they did not know about .me domains when the Sunrise applications were going on. During the Sunrise period registered trademarks claimed their domain. But something tells me if it was really Toyota Co, there would be factor x that will allow them to get the domain at base price due to tm.
That's what I was thinking too, but the current rising price means there is someone else interested in that name! Otherwise Toyota would have won the auction for 75$!
Both of them sold: oglasi.me $40,034 82 toyota.me $90,025 Someone at name Pros probably hit the nail on the head on what probably happened with toyota.me The interested bidders most likely have a Toyota franchise. Because its a franchise, they had to pay big bucks to have permission to use the Toyota name and sell Toyota vehicles in the fist place. Because they already bought this permission they are also allowed to further advertise using the Toyota name online. I don't know where their franchises are located but if they are located in Maine that is HUGE brownie points for them as Maine's abbreviation is ME!
thats pretty cool... and crazy! They are just going to waste money on this, unless they have a good development plan
Wasting money? It's hard to find a domain name, except maybe insurance(s).com, that is better than insure.me for an insurance company.. This name is gold!
Gold, but not for $60k. As I said if they are the end users, with cool dev plan, then great. Reselling it for more might be quite challenging. I sold and bought domains for 5 figures, so unlike most people commenting I do have an idea what I'm talking about. No offense intended..
Well, it seems you are not the only one into buying/selling 50,000$+ domain names since some are currently at war for getting insure.me!
There are insiders who know why its worth that much. People who bid that much know what there doing. There are changes in the alg being implemented. People have been saying domain prices are to high for over a decade, bt they keep rising.
