Insurance google pagerank easy?

Hello all, I am currently thinking about starting a website about insurance. I have heard that the Insurance keyword is extremely competitive, from what I looked and a keyword tool, Insurance keywords usually pays 7.50$ - 35$ per click on adsense.

The number of searches for Insurance per month is pretty considerable, around 50 million for car only, adding up all terms would probably make 100 million. Also I'm thinking of how hard can it be to rank well in google search engine? As I made same analyzes, I found that ''insuranceinstituteofindia.com'' ranked on top of 11th page on google. I'm thinking that 11th page for insurance keyword would be pretty good wouldnt it be? But anyway I looked up insuranceistituteofindia.com on compete and also on alexa, and results: 900 monthly visitors and 34 pages linking to it total. Only 34 links to get in 11th page of Insurance on google search engine??? Isn't that too easy??

Anyway, I'm planning to start working on my site in a week or so, and any tips-thoughts about insurance website would be cool. Also can anyone explain why did that website get on 11th page, it would be amazing if my website got on that page or is 11th page not a good position?? do people not go to 11th page??

It is very hard to rank an insurance website. Try thinking about narrowing your target region (country and city targeting) and adding some relevant keywords which will include your target country or city.

What is country targetting and how you do it ? Also what do you mean by ''It is very hard to rank an insurance website'' do you mean getting it into top 10 first pages of google? or first 20, first 30?

Nobody goes to the eleventh page to search, I'm afraid.

The sites on Page 1 and 2 normally give them what they want, so there is no incentive to go all the way down to 11.

oh ok... Yea but in this case it could help. For example 100+ million monthly searches on insurance and 10k pageviews to your website a month with 1% ctr on insurance keywords, provided that google pays you 70% of adwords clicks on your site, then that would bring me minimum 1k (one thousand dollars) a month. Also out of 100 milion searches, could it be that hard to get only 10 thousand visits if you website is ranked on 13th page?

edit: Ive read a ton of articles and videos on websites and seo, and web 2.0 but never actually had working website ...had 2 under construction websites and one blog with no visitors. Also I have adsense. After school finishes this week, I plan on launching an insurance website 2-3 weeks from now. Thanks for any other help or thoughts-insights

10 k visits on the 13 page lol, sorry but no chance. I've ranked high for this keyword so believe me when i say no.

You "may" get a handful a month tops back there, but they will not convert it's mostly webmasters looking.

Forget this keyword, it's too generic and there is way higher paying long-tail keyword that you can actually rank for.

hehe, I think I can smell some competition here. You might be right, but till I try things myself, no one really convinces me. And I sometimes think that I'm better than others at most things... if someone did it, then I can do it too. thats my nature. Also can I ask you what's your website? But anyways you might not convince me to not try but thanks for the advice anyway

Though the niche related to insurance is high paying, it is very tough to get into the first page of the SERP because the competition is very tough and you can even say, it is cut throat competition. If you are still interested, Good Luck in your efforts :)

Good luck. It is very competitive and I have only had luck in my state but I actually "write" the insurance and get paid a commission. If you are just looking to get paid for click throughs to another site you have your work cut out for you but if your cost is minimal it's certainly worth a try.

You will never get significant traffic past page 2 (or 3 if you are lucky). You will never know unless you try, however. This should be a great learning experience for you. My advice to you is don't waste your time shooting for page 11 rankings...go for the gold if you are going to do it. It's going to take tons of relevant, original content to even get it off the ground in such a competitive field. Not to mention gaining backlinks, and any and all other SEO techniques you can muster. I would be interested to hear about your results after 3 months; 6 months; 1 year.

Also, note that the web site ''insuranceinstituteofindia.com'' is a 7-year-old web site (or URL). It likely took it all of seven years to even make it to page 11 in Google SERPS.

    You are certainly ambitious!

I am right, you are totally wasting your time but if you would like to continue be my guest.

"Auto Insurance Quotes" pays double what "Insurance" pays and it's about 1,000 times easier to rank for. There are literally hundreds of keyphrases that pay more and are very easy to rank for so why you would want to pursue a term like Insurance for i'll never know.

Don't believe me, see the data for yourself. http://www.tareeinternet.com/forum/seo/1122-micro-niche-finder-review-keyword-tool.html

In my second post there's some good finance/loans keywords ripe for the picking in the screenshots. You want the ones with the lowest SOC (Strength of Competition) and highest search volumes.

Thanks to all for posts, and cool Tara I didin't know that insuranceofindia was 7 years old. I will give it a shot and if it doesn't work then I'll get back at another type of site and keyword or maybe even try credit cards keyword, and yea I will post my results as soon as I launch my website but so far the keywod hasnt been bought, im too busy with school and will start working on it this saturday when i get winter vacation. Also here is a post that I posted a couple of minutes ago in another topic section called 'sandbox faq'

Hey guys, I wonder if doing the following is a good idea: Have a well written and clear website about Insurance. Clicks earn around 7.50 - 35$ usually according to adwords tool. Previously, I never had a website that was working (theyre all in construction now) but i do have adsense. If I'm about to publish a website that is well written, can be considered legitimate and trustful for readers, is well optimized and all, and I launch it on one day with adsense in it as well as get on the same day or two 300 backlinks from websites with 300k+ and up uniques a month, how long before I get into the sandbox?? Also insurance keywords are worth around 7.50 - 35 bucks per click, and i get many clicks will i still keep my earnings of adsense? is there any restriction? Will I be put into the sandbox and still be able to keep my earnings? Because if google bans me from it's search engine but keeps my adsense account and earnings intact, then I'm still ok, because google only has around 70% of search terms, i can still get visitors from other search engines, i mean at 20$ average per click I won't be sad for 10 clicks a month!!!

Anyone knows answers on the questions above? thanks

I should tell, there's no chance you'll average $10 per click, for any keyword.

The price per click is based on conversions, so unless people buy directly after visiting your page, the clicks will tend to pay much less.
