IF YOU LIVE IN US, YOU BETTER NOT GET SICK!

few month ago i got my ear cut open. I got a few stitches. A week of two later, i got a bill for 1200 dollar! I call my insurance company because they should have cover it. After a few day and more than 20 call, i found out they enter the wrong SSN so they didn't accept my claim.

OK, i got it fixed. Then i got a check for 700 buck. That mean i need to pay 500 by myself!!

And today, i got another 200 dollar bill for removing the stitches. It took them like 5 minute and they charge me 200 buck for that. I called my insurance and they told me they won't cover it. They told me it is "not necessary" to get a doctor to remove the stitches since i can do it on my own.

I pay more than 200 dollar a month for insurance and this is what i got...

Yeah it's not fun, I have no insurance as in most cases it's cheaper to actually not have it. I know if something hugely major comes around I'll be fuxxed, but for small and even medium things it's cheaper to not have insurance.

The hospital/clinics give discounts when you don't have insurance. Many things are actually cheaper now not having insurance then when insurance paid for some of it, plus I no longer have premiums or deductibles.

Hell yea. The insurance come from company so i have to have it.

You can always find some nice doctor in China town (make sure you got connection so you know he is legit). If i wait i can get my ear fixed for less than 200 buck. Too bad i just can't stop the bleeding and need to go to ER (which i wait for 5 hours)
