Hi all Our website has been fully functional for over 1 year - the URL is www.blackdigits.com.mt and www.blackdigits.com. The website is a financial website. We applied for Google Adsense and we got this reply: "Insufficient content: To be approved for AdSense and show relevant ads on your site, your pages need to have enough text on them for our specialists to review and for our crawler to be able to determine what your pages are about." We researched the internet and noticed that this issue arises when there isn't unique content, the SEO is poor or the website is still in its infancy. We think these issues should not apply to us. Some facts about our website: - We got 4,300 visits and 17,700 page views between 1 Jan 2013 and 13 Jun 2013 - We have over 500 pages in the website (probably much more) and properly indexed in a sitemap - Our content is unique save for perhaps a few articles we wrote for the local media which we have reproduced on our website (but this content is a very small minority of the total pages) - users posts comments so the website is being - we rank very good in SEO purposes (e.g. if I search "financial statements Malta", we rank 4th. - many websites including local media and stock brokers link to us What we think might be the issue is that - many pages mainly include numbers (the financial statements which we inputted) - there are many links to the local stock exchange website. The links take users to specific announcements made by listed companies - Apart from the comments posted by users, the text is not changed often because it merely welcomes the user or helps the user navigate the pages of data Perhaps someone can help us please? We badly need some income coming in and we also need to show that the website is sustainable. Thanks so much! Chris
There are three reason you mention but i think only the first reason is the one that causing the "inssuficient content". The content doesnt mean the quantity of the pages or content but the keyword or text. When you have hundreds of page without keyword, adsense will not able to match the ads. What you have to do is just add more keyword into your website to get approved
I checked your site and it took a while to load, I'm on my phone so it could have been on my end. There is plenty of content and the site looks nice, maybe try to rewrite some of your pages with more descriptive words and keywords then reapply? I'm currently waiting for AdSense to approve my blog.
Hi lifeplayer - I checked with our developer. We submitted one of the pages on which we set a google adsense placeholder on www.seocentro.com to analyse our keywords. This is what we got: Keywords: annual report, balance sheet, income statement Meta tags analysis. Title: Title relevancy to page content is fair. The Title relevancy to page content is 50%. Description: Description meta tag relevancy to page content is good. The Description meta tag relevancy to page content is 64%. Keywords: Keywords meta tag relevancy to page content is poor. The keywords meta tag relevancy to page content is 44%. So I guess this is the problem - the keywords are not as relevant as the text on the website. Will try to re-write the content or change the keywords. Right? Will let you know. Chris
Hi Chris, Probably the keyword text is the root cause and wish to heard a good news from you after the changing.
Not quite sure why you were denied. Nice looking site. One suggestion is for your meta keywords, maybe add comas to them. This is how your's looks like now: <meta name="keywords" content="Financial Statements Malta Share prices Discuss compare " /> Code (markup):
Do some SEO for your site, and when it's average daily traffic reaches around 500/day apply again with that site. Using this strategy, you will have a better chance of being accepted in AdSense.
I always thought AdSense Didn't take your traffic into account, only the quality of your content and speed of your site. I got a 5 day old blog with a week old domain AdSense approved within 48 hours. I'm not sure why they would approve me but not you.
I quoted you because you said to increase traffic to increase cancel of being accepted by AdSense but I know they don't take this into account. I then said that I was surprised the op wasn't accepted. I quoted you for the traffic part but wasn't on about you not being approved by AdSense.
