Instead of going after Al Qaeda, Bush went after OIL.

Bush Aide Says Musharraf Fails to Contain Al-Qaeda in Pakistan
July 13 (Bloomberg) -- Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has failed to contain al-Qaeda and must regain control over areas bordering Afghanistan where the terrorist group is free to plan new attacks, said Stephen Hadley, President George W. Bush's national security adviser. ....

If Bush had sent the troops instead of Iraq in Afghanistan and Pakistan where the real threat to US comes from. Now we wouldn't have to pay that much for OIL. Iraq wouldn't have become Al Qaida's terror nest. US would have had much more credibility. And the world would have been much safer than it is now.
Now only 26% are satisfied with Bush.

I agree with your post totally. Bush's main motivation is $. Oil = $.
And yeah, they have made Iraq into a "nest" unfortunately :(
(Iraq won't recover for 50 years, literally)
