Instant submission directories.

Ugh you validate the submissions *after* they're posted ?! why ?

OK so you say the most frequent intervention is to change the category of a submission. What if I get listed next to a Pharma site (which got posted in the Webmasters category 'cause the dimwit owner thought it'd be cool, or whatever reason) and your directory gets spidered say 10 minutes before you noticed it? Just an example...

I guess I'm being a bit paranoid but I believe services like yours are a bit of a gray territory ...

 

We also validate links *after* submission at the Phynder web directory. Generally have very few problems. Spider activity is high, so there is the possibility that a SPAMer can put a link up that does not fit with a category. But, with high spider activity, once the unsavory link is removed, the category is spidered again soon after.

 

Got your point. Not sure I follow your strategy-- why risk malicious spammers doing some horrendous stuff like submitting 10k spammy links with some automated tool when you can pre-approve all links, like 99.99% of directories do?

One of the things I love most about DP is how 3 year old threads get revived. Its so refreshing to return to DP and find that such common behavior is still accepted.

Thanks for sharing this list but some of the websites in this list are dead and some others are pages parked with a hosting company recieving visitors looking for instant links but rather increasing the parked site's PR.

But it is a good trick to promote websites though
