I spent a couple hours submitting to directories and came up with a handfull that are instant for those that like instant gratification:

    wotbox.com/addurl ---PR5 ---$1.80
    bigfinder.com/submit/ ---PR5 ---Free
    sirseek.com/spider/crawl.asp ---PR3 ---Free
netinsert.com/ ---PR5 ---Place meta tag on page
    wikidweb.com/ ---PR3 ---Free
    autostop4u.com/ ---PR0 ---Free
    rummage4money.com/ ---PR3 ---Free – sign up
    booboowackwack.com/links/ ---PR2 ---Free
    budu.com/ ---PR4 ---Free
    kairali.ws/cgi-bin/clinks/main.cgi ---PR3 ---Free
    yourfreelink.com/index.php?cat=39 ---PR1 ---Free
    linknow.co.nz/ ---PR4 ---Free – reciprocal link
    allinside.info/ ---PR1 ---Free

If anyone has others please list them.
    Thanks

I would be weary of submitting your links to sites with absolutely no approval process. People are always saying links can't hurt you, which I agree with to a point. But most directories with automatic inclusion get filled quickly with sites you probably don't want to be listed with

Isn't manual validation of links what separates directories from FFA's?

Thanks for the list, Roman; very useful! I've already used NetInsert, quite convenient, but many of the others were new to me.

That is correct...That is why its risky to submit to these directories. Certianly stay far away from the FFA's that require a recip as they are the most dangerous.

I must appreciate you that you have provided list of dirs with instant acceptance.
If A site is accepted and added in a directory instantly then it would become a link farm. So no use of making submissions in those Dirs.

Hello - I'm the founder/sysop for Wikidweb, and I wanted to address a couple of the points made in this forum. I think that in many cases the issue of instant links creating nothing more than a link farm is completely true, but I also think that there are directories that are simply trying to fill a niche market, and (hopefully) provide a review process after the fact.

Wikidweb is a directory in a wiki, so anyone may edit any entry at any time. I personally check on it several times a day, and I personally review about 80% of the new entries. I have put considerable time into coding filters for spammy content, and will continue to do so. I block urls that are posted in a spammy manner, so that they cannot be re-posted. So, while I can't speak for the other instant directories, I did want to defend Wikidweb at least: it is not a FFA, nor will it become one.

    Kind Regards,
    Aerik

I was led to believe that inbound links can't hurt you. All but one do not require reciprocal links.

Anyways, the list is there for you to decide.

As the error clearly states, you must add a NetInsert-specfic META tag to your HTML source on your website. This tag will be used to determine the category in which your link will appear. Additionally, you must have the standard description and keywords META tags; instructions for all this can be found on NetInsert's website.

You can see the HTML source code to my website (in my signature) for an example on how to do this.

Instant submission does not imply lack of validation. Submission in the NetInsert directory is instant but all submissions are always validated. Typically, only one or a few sites in every 100 submissions require administrator intervention. Administrative actions mostly entail setting a different classification, sometimes a delete, and in very rare cases a block. All in all we have found that a webmaster driven categorization is a working paradigm for organizing the web.

I guess it depends. Do the instant ones have a system in place that can weed out the bogus links., misspellings, spam, etc..? I suppose it would be possible to build a semi clean "instant submission" directory. It would not be 100% though. You could easily weed out bad links, dead sites, etc., perhaps spelling problems, etc., but things like proper category listing, etc., I am not sure how you can really be sure to keep a directory full of valid links without some manual intervention.

We are manual, but QUICK. Quick IMHO is several, several times daily. So in a sense, "Quick" could be considered as good as instant.
