instant quote vs non instant

currently the insurance sites im marketing have a insurance quote section. However now I'm making a new site, and i decided to see how easy it would be to make an instant quote. Anyhow i successfully created an instant quote system, but i'm still wondering if i should use it. Currently when somebody fills out the form it will send info to our emails, and then somebody at our office will call them with all the quotes ready.

With the new instant quote i could cut that form down to just 5 total fields, and give them instant information. Next to the instant quote given i could put a small form where they enter contact information. I'll also have a "Call us now with skype" link (which displays only if we have online operators).

Anyhow my conundrum is whether or not its better to leave it with the longer form so every time its filled out we can call them back. Or to give them a much shorter form and give them an instant quote then get them to give us their information after they have received the quote.

well you can keep that length of form and give them an instant quote too, you can add another field (like a checkbox)where if they like to get a callback from you guys.

Some may like the instant quote, but also there are others who would like clarification of the quotes through phone.

im looking for better conversion rates, and i assume a smaller form will do better.
The idea is to maximize the # of sales of course anyway possible.
