Instant Previews

Anyone know how Google renders it's screenshots for Instant Previews? Does it use Chrome engine to render the preview?

 

yes, I believe so, render the page by chrome and save as a perview picture

 

they definitely use their chrome.. just hope this not going the annoying like pop up on search results..

I guess so. Because, I cant see that feature in Firefox or IE

Google preview works both on mozilla firefox and google chrome. I believe that this new instant preview uses their own resources on how to generate this feature so more or less its from chrome.
