    Do they exist?

It is possible to buy a website and completley re-work it to rank for desired products and terms?

What PR backlinks would I be looking for and where could I find such websites?

    Thanks.

Buy a 10 year old site with lots of links and you will rank highly. The problem is they cost a lot.

I have found some expired domains that still register as 5 years old (even though they have been offline for years) using this tool: http://www.webconfs.com/domain-age.php

I think the website has to have been live (online) for 10 years right for it to rank well?

How would I check and where would I buy?

    Thanks

    Check archive.org

If they have been offline for years the trust is likely to have been removed. Its not about the first registered date, its about how long google thinks they have been continually online.

If it sounds too good to be true it probbaly is. Any site with decent age and PR is gonna cost around 1000$ and up sometimes way up.

I suppose $1k would be fair if it was an instant ranker.

Where do you find these domains?
