Can someone give me a tutorial or tell me how to install adsense on wordpress? I read you need to use the theme editor, but I don't see that.
Installation of Plugin is VERY simple. Just copy the PHP file of the plugin or if it contains more than one file than the WHOLE folder in your plugin directory. Then Activate it from your wordpress control panel. For adsense the best plugin i found is - Adsense Deluxe
Am I using a different version of wordpress or something? I have no clue how to do any of this. I don't see a plugins folder, where would I find this?
Log on to your Host Using a FTP program, or use your Hosting Control Panel And look for something like "File Manager" Then locate a folder called WWW / Public_Html. Go and Upload the files in your plugins directory of Wordpress- (It is likely to be either one of them) /public_html/Your Domain Name Here/wp-content/plugins /www/Your Domain Name Here/wp-content/plugins /www/wp-content/plugins *There might a wordpress subfolder under your domain name. It all depends on how and where you installed it. If you still can't figure it out then PM me, I'll help you.
Everything you need to know to use Wordpress is offered to you for free at Wordpress.org. It's your fault if you can't be bothered to read the manual, dude. RTFM
I think that MichaelS has a free Wordpress.com account. My friend, in wordpress.com free accounts adsense is not permitted. You have to install a fresh copy of wordpress from wordpress.org to a hosting account. Then you will be able to use adsense in your blog.
an alternative to wordpress that is free and hosted would be blogger. blogger allows you to insert adsense as a widget if its being hosted remotely.
You have a blog in wordpress.com? then maybe you have to read this: Adsense, Yahoo, Chitika and other ads are not permitted to be added by users. Adverts that may be inserted when using an external blogging program will be blocked. http://faq.wordpress.com/2005/12/08/adsense/ As for the template thing, there are a lot adsense-ready templates for wordpress, but ONLY if you have a paid hosting account.
