Installing MYSQL-GUI tools on Red Hat/GNOME

    Hello all:

Tried posting this on the MySQL forums and there are no takers.

I'm running Red Hat Linux Enterprise 4.1.1 (Linux version 2.6.18-8.el5) w/ GNOME v.2.16.0, trying to install the MYSQL-GUI tools for some development work. Although the installer says it successfully completed, I can't seem to find where the binaries were installed! In looking around the web, I've noticed some people said they should be in the /opt directory, but upon further examination of that directory, I found it to be completely empty. No alias icons were installed on the desktop or "Applications" drop-down menu, either.

I also installed MYSQL Query Browser and it did appear under "Applications" in the "Programming" sub-section. Still no MYSQL-GUI to be found, however.

    Any assistance appreciated.

Update - it appears that, despite what the version control software is telling me, I'm actually running Red Hat Enterprise 5, not 4 what I originally thought. Is there a compatibility problem with the GUI software and the newer version of Red Hat?
