    Thanks for your prompt reply.

Yeah I downloaded and unzipped. Got a folder with few folders and files within that folder. But I am not getting the section in left panel to upload.

    Can anybody help me further?

    Thanks

Instead of using the c-panel to upload can you create a file in your root folder titled "blog" and ftp your theme in your theme folder?

Some themes don't need to be downloaded and uploaded on to your site try chosing a different one maybe.

If you do stick with your chosen theme then you need you FTP username and password from the original email you got from your hosting provider. Use a program like FileZilla to conect to your site and the root will be something like this:

HTML or WWW -> WP-CONTENT -> THEMES -> (upload the theme folder here)

Now when you enter Wordpress the new theme will be available, check the instructions that came with the theme to apply it

Is FTP or FileZilla required for WP blog like - myname. wordpress . com? Actually its free WP blog not hosted in paid server.

Hope I am clear to you.

    Go 'www.yourblogurl.com/wp-admin/theme-install.php?tab=upload'

Upload the zip file and you're done! No need to FTP or unzip file contents.
