I inherited maintaining a server running xipro v2.4c3. It does not work well with php or most anything else I try. I want to switch to apache server, but this is a production environment and I don't want to mess things up until the switch. It is also doing ssl. It is on a Windows XP machine with all updates. I went here: http://www.anindya.com/apache-http-server-2-4-4-and-2-2-24-x86-32-bit-and-x64-64-bit-windows-installers/ and downloaded the x86 with openssl installer. What I was hoping to do was to install apache server and have it listen on another port so that I can configure everything and get it all working before switching to it. I think I would just need to change the listen directive at that point. My questions are: Is the above link a good version of the installer? Is this methodology a solid approach? Are there any gotcha's that I need to worry about? Thanks in advance for any help.
