Install Phbb Forum

    I am opening this forum again as i was not able to get in touch with ppl to install phbb

    I need to install phbb forums and set things up properly in my new forum site can any one help me i need some one trust worth members & will have that programmer for my future projects so basically i need a programmer for my long term websites & portals

    for now installing i can pay $ 1 but..i got long term plans so i will use tha programmer

    You don't need programmers for this unless you want custom code written, you know, right? You can do this easily, by yourself because you just make a database (login to hosting, go to phpmyadmin and type what you'd like its name to be and hit enter) and enter your information when prompted to at phpbb's installer. I'd recommend using phpbb as a last resort, its not very secure.

    I have installed my forum but when i open up the home page i am presented with ....
    Index of /

    * cgi-bin/
    * images/
    * forum/
    * postinfo.html

    i then have to click on the forum link to get there. how do i set it so that when i type my url it goes straight to the forum page. Thanks

    you have installed your forum in a folder called /forum and you have no index page or redirect to take you to the forum. either install an index page in the public_html folder or use .htaccess to redirect your domain to your /forum folder.
