Install PEAR mail on PHP 5.3?

    Hi,

    Is it possible to install the PEAR mail library on a newer version of PHP?
    On the mail page (http://pear.php.net/package/Mail) it says it depends on PHP 4.4.9.
    Can I still use 5.3?
