i had searched for a domain DigitalMart.com at godaddy

it was there at that time, but when in the next mornin i decided to buy it

it was gone. GOdaddy must be punished for this , its very annoying when such things happen

I dont see anything wrong with this, they track searches probably yes, but if you dont grab it right away of course they are... I would do the same thing

As an individual I agree but it must be terribly frustrating for companies who are researching names for ad campaigns or products. They build a proposal and present it to the customer and they might swing any which way. In the greater scheme of things registering all the options isn't that expensive (compared to the TV ad campaign that follows) but it shouldn't be necessary.

FWIW: the domain I mentioned at the beginning is now pending delete. I guess I was meant to buy it from them at a premium and "failed" to do so ;)

Well I bought a good domain this week at godaddy, I was surprised it was available. Its a FirstnameLastname.co.uk of a huge sports star here in UK. The .com version of the same domain is the actual persons official site.

I tried to log in to forward the domain, only to be told that account is locked, and contact customer service. I done so, to be told they suspect the order to be fraudulent, and they've cancelled it and returned my paypal payment. But the domain is registered so I cant go elsewhere and buy it. I hope I can get them to sort this, or I'm going to lose a great domain!

I have had this problem a couple of times with Godaddy.
After contacting them they have been very good at getting the domain sorted for me...
