Airbus released some pictures of the interior of the A380. Just thought I'd share them with you. They are pretty neat. >>> Pictures Here <<< I wouldn't mind spending my AdSense earnings and buying a ticket when this bird goes in service.
for me.. Airplane is a tool for getting from point A to point B. It looks nice and comfortable but I think that the money is wasted. Would be nice for a space-rocket(when you spend many weeks in space) tough.
amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing........ wonderful.... i think i shd also start saving... may be one nice day....
If any of you have ever been on United's economy, there is going to be a huge difference between this and that.
For those seats- plenty. I actually am working on the wiring system of the A380 as we speak- I'm at work right now. I help design electrical system components. As you know if you've been following the story, the wiring is less than ready for prime time, and is the reason for the plane's delay into service of 7 months. Job security for me. Those look like the Singapore Airlines layout. Nice photos.
I'm willing to bet alot of the Airlines will end up taking out some of the Lounge ideas and stuff so they can have more seats and make more money per flight... I think it's happened quite a few times before with other aircraft...
I agree. Won't take much of a hike in fuel prices to make it worthwhile to do the retrofits. Actually it's not the lounge areas that are taking up huge amounts of footage- it's the 1st class areas, with their massive footroom, aisle width, reclining beds and such that will probably be converted.
A380 is gonna be the biggest airplain so far, I have seen a documentry on discovery channel, its would have around 600 seats, and the cost of flight wont be much. stakes are too high for these monster plains. Virgin Atlantic were the first one to order these airbuses.. Its gonna be a cool journey anyway
Think what will happen when these monster machines falls into the wrong hands. (terrorists) I hope not.
Does anyone remember when the entire top floor of Boeing 747s were lounges? It didn't stick around for too long. I don't think we'll see too many A380s with nice amenities like in these photos. One can dream, though. Owen
I'm not saying no A380s will be nice--just that it won't be common. I believe Virgin Atlantic already has a bar and small lounge area on their planes. It would stand to reason that if you have twice as many seats, you'd make a bar twice as large. But to be honest, I think it's just Richard Branson trying to get some press for his company--c'mon, a gym? Give me a break. The FAA will have a field day with that one. See seattlepi.nwsource.com/business/209051_interior24.html Owen P.S> Virgin only ordered 6 (or so says Wikipedia).
