Hello, I've got a unique idea for how to make money with my adsense ads, however I do not know if this is allowed with the program plan, or if it is even possible. I run a virtual pet website where users can create their own virtual pets, upload them to the site, then share them. Now, one of the features of the site is that they can share the pets in forum signatures and have other users click them. Now, this in itself helps to drive a lot of traffic to my site, getting me over 1 Mil pageviews / month according to adsense, just on the site itself. Now, what I want to somehow do is ad an adsense ad right IN the image, so instead of the user clicking on the image and having to go to my site to see the ad, the ad is a part of an image and basically piggybacks off of the content of whatever site the user has pasted it onto, in most cases forums. Now, there are numerous challenges in this, both PHP and adsense based. First off, anyone have any ideas how in PHP I can attach the adsense code to an image that is output using readfile and still have everything work? Maybe like a HTML / image hybrid? That will be the biggest challenge and at this point I am doubting that this is even possible. Also, would adsense allow this practice, hypothetically if I do get this working? I don't know what official Adsense policy would be, even if you work out the technical kinks (you would not only have to be able to display the ads without modifying the Adsense code in any way, but you'd need to include a link back to your Privacy Policy). However, it does sound high risk, because you wouldn't have any control over whether your ads were being displayed on a site that complied with the Adsense Program Policies. If your ads get shown on sites that have adult content, illegal copyrighted content, or one of the many other types of content that are not allowed, your account could be canceled. There is some discussion on the official Adsense help forums as to whether putting Adsense in a widget is allowed or advisable, which sounds similar to what you want to set up so you might check there.
