http://www.google.hu/search?hl=hu&q=flunkme.com&btnG=Google+keresés&meta= on search for flunkme.com it puts up this link: www.flunkme.com/in.php?id=5 why is that main website and not an index page? :S will that affect my ranking in some way? also I use that link to advertise my website on different forums, its handy I calculate how much traffic my forum signatures bring. But than google and other SERPS see that link, and they may consider it as a main page? or in some way it may have higher PR than my index page? I"m so confused
Just use a 301 redirect for that link. I would happily do that for you if only you could make up your mind...
This is a good example of a site causing it's own meta-refresh hijack. http://www.google.hu/search?q=site:flunkme.com+Redirecting...&hl=hu&filter=0 Plug either of those urls into my new favorite tool and you can see source of the the interstitial page, with the meta-refresh and the title. The meta-refresh is also included in the cache...
sorry, I don't understand what u mean I just installed a toplist mod for my forum, and used its link to collect data about hits from my forum signatures, why google did that I don't understand :S
