I got exactly the same problem! There is something funny here as also my login page started getting ranked - inner pages are ranked...some pr4 but the main page went down to pr1. A comment that was made on July 19 got a pr3 as did my contact foOrm!

Contrast the number of links outside of your page and link the site will understand the PR value

in any case its just fun nothing else
because if they update PR based on traffic then my FAQ page is PR3 where very low traffic seen in past 6 months
most traffic is on main page where PR is 1 now
    i don't see any logic

May be, you inner pages are getting back links from some valuable sources.
In robots.txt file, you have allowed the spiders to crawl everything.

just funnel the PR from the inner pages back to the homepage then if that matters to you.

    That's not a "problem"
PR is different for every page, according on the backlinks
main page can have pr 0 and the subpage can have pr 8. it happens

    hi

This can be happen i have so many website in which my inner page has the more PR compression to home page. If you have quality back links for your inner page then sure your inner page PR will be high.

It shouldn't be too surprising, really.

PageRank is calculated based on the incoming links and the PageRank of the pages containing these links.
