Inner page URL Re-Write - Need expert opinion

    Hi,
    We are planning to rewrite our all old url to more search engine friendly url.

    Many old inner page URL have PR2 and ranking well for their keyword and also have many links to them.

    Will it affect their ranking in Google or other search engine ?

    New URL may not have good PR so soon/easily and may not rank, so

    Will old URL will still rank in future as it is Today ?

    What can be done so that our ranking do not affect?
    We will make 301 redirect from old url to new url.


    Please share your experience and opinion.

    it will affect till the google crawl your 301 redirection so you should be ready to face this issue for sometimes. Rewriting is good but only if u can afford the effect ..
