Hi All, I have been working on Social Media Marketing for quite sometime now. I am familiar with the basic SEO concepts and believe to take the next step towards SEO. Would be working on a few websites SEO also. What are the basics i must take care of? Whats the path to become a thorough SEO professional? I mean tutorials, webmaster blogs some useful sites and your insights would be really useful. Thanks in advance. Looking forward to learn more in this vigorous communtiy.
I learned almost all that I know (which is now quite considerable) just browsing around here at the forums. Check out the SEO, link development, social media and other similar sections and read new posts as they are made. You will learn from other members responses to others' questions. And also, search for tutorials using the search function. Time is the best teacher I have found.
I am confused... You have SEO in your username. Does that mean you provide SEO services? If so, then shouldn't you know the answer to that?
Does anyone ever really "know" SEO? Even when you work in the field, there are always other website optimisation and and link building strategies to try. Various SEO "experts" and interent marketers are continually flooding the airwaves with the latest methods - even if we don't use these, surely we have to try to keep up with what's going on?
just keep reading is be my advice. you can never learn everything but the basics are quite simple that you can learn by reading a few credible sites and popular forums. just google what you need to know and keep reading. dont believe everything you read as there are so many so called SEO experts writing all different types of contents and how to articles and lot of them will have misleading information. you just keep reading and compare one with other and judge for yourself. you also have to do a lot of experiments to see what works for you. good luck
