Infractions raining down on me - (please don't give me an infraction for this post)

I've been a member here on DP for quite awhile and I do enjoy this forum a lot. I think I post sensible posts and I don't try to increase my post count. Please look at my history before you make your judgment.

I had a quarrel with a dp user on this site on a service he was selling. I think I didn't receive what was promised and i made that clear in the thread. First I experienced my post in his was deleted. I found that kind of odd since the post was made to inform other users of DP that this service provider didn't provide what was promised.......That post got deleted without any reason.

Now I've started to receive infractions from right to left on always with the reason "Running Up Post Count/Post Has No Value"

I would like to give you an example of one post that gave me an infraction.

The person that wrote the thread also wrote the five next replies in the thread which I found a bit odd but I was still interested in his service hence my reply

"You got a monologue going on in here

I'm looking for a writer that can write perfectly but I also am looking for someone who can give the article a personal touch and humor.

I want you to review an e book on the niche of homemade energy. I don't want any promotional language and if the book sucks then you should write it.

If you are interested please contact me with your prices."


If I'm wrong and maybe a bit sensitive please tell me, I just wonder why I'm receiving a few infractions at this moment and all for the same reason, that im trying to add up my post count or post irrelevant posts. I always try to write meaningful posts and in this particular post I was sure that I was obeying the rules of DP.

I fully understand if I'm wrong. I did read the rules but didn't find my post to be against the rules. I've posted a lot of posts and never seen this sort of posts giving infractions.

I have more infractions that I got lately for similar offensives.


I do not know where else to post this, so again I'm sorry if it's in the wrong category.

I believe the issue with what you quoted is that requests for reviews and requests for contact are supposed to be made via pm's. I did what you did a few days ago and got one as well although I also asked a number of questions and explained my position. (At least I think I did if I recall correctly. Don't have the post handy.)

 

This shouldn't be posted here or anywhere else. If you have a question on an infraction you should PM a moderator.

And about your post specifically, that is information that should have been in a PM. See the rule posted here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/announcement.php?f=24

Your reply was only relevant to you and the OP. If you had posted and asked him if there was a particular niche in which he specialized, that would be a question and answer that would be relevant to anyone. Or if you asked him what his normal turnaround time was for projects, etc. But you asked a question that was about your job specifically and of importance to nobody else.
