Not in my book. Anything to say something other than

    would be good.

    That's hilarious!

I would laugh, but the last time I laughed at a joke, I got an infraction for "Running Up Post Count/Post Has No Value".

As if I need to run up my post count! And I always thought that sharing appreciation of someones efforts had value -- it makes people feel good.

Because sending warnings for unrealistic reasons make no sense and I also have to much time on my hands today :)

I wanted to ask, is updating auction thread (i.e. updating after someone bids) considered as thread bumping? Because i updated my thread few hours ago and received a penalty.

    Posting Guidelines

While there are very few specific posting guidelines, so please use common sense.
    • You must have been a member for 7 days, not have an overall red reputation and have 10 total posts to post in the Website Review forum.
It can take up to an hour for your new permissions to be active.
    • You must have been a member for 14 days, not have an overall red reputation and have 25 total posts to post in the Buy, Sell or Trade forum (which includes link exchanges).
It can take up to an hour for your new permissions to be active.
    • Start new threads in the most relevant forum category.
    • Don't create posts with nothing but a link. If you are going to link to a news article for example, give a summary of it.
    • Unless it's earth shattering news, don't post press releases.
    • It's okay to promote your own things, but wait until you have contributed something useful (posts-wise) to the forum.
    • Don't create threads about random news. Anything more than one thread per day that is from a news source will be deleted.
    • Personal attacks against people, or sites will not be tolerated. If you have an issue with someone or their site, take it up with them personally.
    • Don't "bump" threads and don't post duplicate threads.
    • Don't spam the forum with things like:
      • Affiliate links (they are allowed in signatures though)
      • Nothing but a link to your own site (you can request a site review within the Website Reviews forum).
    • The staff here had the final say on what is appropriate and what is not.

Indeed, that is why i asked if "Updating an auction status" is considered as bumping the thread.

THANKS for this thread. I thought them as scary...

    dead mods and admins,
ten infraction points lead to temporary ban. so are they yellow points or red points or both combined ?

    thanks

Yellow points are warnings, red points are worth infraction points.

Only red infractions (to my knowledge) lead to a ban.
