your account will be out for a good year if it is indeed given excessively:
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showgroups.php

keep in mind many mods are around and they will see your threads and 2 options:

    1. simply give you lee way and make your thread live but give an infraction to warn - by a nice mod

    2. given infraction again by another mod thinking no one else had

    3. infraction plus moving the thread/closing

thats tough luck once you get caught for real.

    and next:
you know you made mistake and sent "report"

    1. your message to a mod hasnt been checked, anothe rmod drop by infraction

    2. infraction..

what you can do or try to do?
PM a mod rather than opening threads (threads = begging for more)
they will reverse if no cause.

also if its your first time, you will get yellow infraction = warning,
if you keep doing without really try to understand why? then its your lost and keep doing = red infraction

    moral: once caught, you're done
if infractions are given excessively, DP got 10+ mods, your account banned on 1st caught

I think it is better for you to ask the mods why you receive infraction rather than open a new thread like this that will sure you receive another infraction.

I have 6 infractions and you just have 2. Am I whining around here? NO!!

As long your infraction not reach the critical level of 8 or 9. Don't care much about that because that infractions will expire soon.

Well he probally is telling the truth but besides that being the point behind this thread I'm done with the thread it is pretty useless. Even though people receive multiple infractions daily for no reason you shouldn't worry about it til your banned? Whatever I guess if people don't care that they are being punished then I don't either.

There is no way directly to contact admins or mods. I have sent emails asking questions before and never receive a response.

this thread will be a joke for w3bmaster :p

either way, this thread needs and will be closed by a mod.
And you can ask the mod the reason (try)

Yeah, I've gotten infractions too, sometimes things I've done on accident, but they expire and the purpose of them is not to punish users, but protect them form those who clearly ignore the rules (people with tons of infractions who thus get banned.)

Yeah, but this kind of stuff is not allowed on Digital Point
    As per this thread
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/announcement.php?f=90

You have to read all TOS's of every site you use to make sure you don't cross a line somewhere.

I don't think it should be closed. Freedom of speech. and if they dont have the balls to even look at the problems this forum faces (non the less fix them), then......idk

"feedback and suggestions" thread is way to go.
freedom of speech in non serious section will give nothing

gotta have guts to ask the mod directly or ask THE MODs straight up in suggestions and feedback :)

IMO, the DP mods have a hard job, and properly come across hundereds of threads in the wrong place etc. But, I do think that an infraction for bumping a post, when I could no longer edit it (I was reducing the price) was not worth an infraction, nor was the same thread worth 6 infractions!

In fairness, fair play to the mods, they have a hard job, but a bit of rationality wouldn't go amiss!

The rules of the dp is very clear and the more you talk about infractions, the more you will get infractions. Take it constructively and move on; don't repeat the mistakes in future :)

I can't believe this, I'm receiving infractions for no reason right now.

I had a nice Mod just apologize for making a mistake and had that infraction reversed, now I got yet another one.

    Truly ridiculous.
