Infractions for sending a private message?

    Why did I get an infraction for sending you a pm about a review copy?

    I didn't know sending pms was breaking the rules

    You don't get infractions for sending a private message. You get them for posting to say you've sent one. Given that the recipient can be notified when a private message is received it is pointless to post a second "advice" and adds nothing to the thread.
