I am getting infractions that are making no sense. I see messages in the content forum signalling to posters that they have sent IM's but I now get infractions for this. But many people who place ads don't check their messages but respond to replies to their thread. Then you follow up and they only tap the top messages and the ones left in first response to their message get ignored. That creates a negative vibe when seeing fresh posts, because a lot of posters never get around to checking their Im's, but email notifications of specific responses they do see.

It's inconsistent in a major way for Digpoint to infraction posts similar to those which exist at every time in the content forums. Either delete them all and be consistent to your policy, or follow the below suggestion.

Instead of infraction hate mail why not just remove post count additions for the content forums? Then the communication could occur in a manner that people looking for content and those ready to write or provide it can use. And this person running around sending infractions for normal business communications can give it a reality check.

Why I would trawl content forums looking to build post count is beyond me.

So if you saw someone jump off of a bridge, you'd do it, too? Just because you see someone else saying they've sent a PM doesn't make it right. Also, those people more than likely got infractions as well but you'd never know because these things are not made viewable to the public. You need to be a staff member or the person issued the infractions in order to see them.

They're going to get to it eventually. When someone receives a notification of any kind, the words by their username in the upper right hand corner changes and turns bold. Also, not everyone subscribes to email notifications. In fact, a lot of people opt out of it.

    Hello,

The truth is this forum has to be strict. I have gotten lots of infractions, but I don't complain nor point at others, because I know the moderators are just trying to cut down on spam. Sometimes, yeah I am mad, but I understand where there coming from. What you don't want to do, is what some do, like posting on there own site, some big long complaint. You just got to get over it.!

You're not allowed to post to tell people to PM you or to tell them you've PM them or to express interest in a deal. Follow the rules, not what you see others doing. If you others violating the rules, use the report post button. That's what it's there for.
