Infraction? Yea right...

    Haha, the funniest thing happened today. I got a infraction for posting "Thanks".

    But here is the catch, I have only posted on one thread since Sep 24th 2008, and never posted "Thanks" because that one thread I posted in I am trying to sell a site, so why would I thank someone?

    Infractions are a straight joke on here. All other forums are fine, but on here they are handed out like candy on Halloween.

    The answer is simple. "Thanks" adds nothing of value to a thread or to the thread readers. The PM and green rep functions are available for you to express thanks to someone.

    "Thanks" is OK if you are also adding some meaningful content in addition to your gratitude.

    Mistakes are sometimes made. Contacting a Mod would be a better choice than posting a thread like this.
