Infraction that I think is unfair? Want to clarify the rules..

    Hi,

    I created this thread yesterday:

    And I recevied two infractions on it for bumping the thread. I agree that the first time I was bumping, asking if anyone else is interested, but I honestly didn't know that wasn't allowed to a certain extent, as i've always seen it going on everywhere on DP - perhaps its a new rule in hte last 6 months or something? since I haven't been around here much since then.

    Anyway, I made a second post saying that id sold one link, and id accept offers from anyone else interested. The fact that im saying im now taking offers, in my view makes it a legitimate post. But I got an infraction from it.

    How exactly am I supposed to tell people im now taking offers, or cheaper prices on that same deal? Surely making another thread would be worse then updating my current one?

    :confused:

    Would appreciate feedback, preferably from the person that gave me the infractions.

    I think that if you'd been a bit more verbose about the change from fixed pricing to negotiable pricing it might have been ok. However it's only 2 infraction points out of a maximum of 10. You should have no problems from here on and infractions aren't visible to other users.
